Clipped Qs VS Inserts: Which Should you Buy?

What are inserts?

Inserts are booklets that contain a variety of coupons. There are 3 types of inserts

  1. Smart Source

  2. Proctor & Gamble

  3. RetailMeNot

Insert Pros

  • You can basically do any deal that someone posts because you have the Qs on hand

  • You’re prepared for possible run/glitch deals

  • You can create any deal because you have all of the coupons in your inserts

Insert Cons

  • You won’t use every Q in the inserts therefore you’ll have a lot of leftover

  • You’re paying for inserts that you’ll never use

  • You’ll have a lot of Qs to organize

What are Clipped Q's?

Clipped coupons (qs) are coupons that have been cut from the insert booklet they come in. They are normally sold in sets of 10.

Clipped Qs Pros

  • You’re only getting coupons you need!

  • your OOP will be low because you’re only buying what you need!

  • Coupon organization will be a breeze!

Clipped Qs Cons

  • Unless you’re looking at upcoming weekly ads in advance, in order to purchase q's you run the risk of missing out on deals.

  • You won’t have the qs on hand needed for possible run deals/glitches

  • Unless you buy multiple sets at one time you’re paying shipping charges each time

Which should you buy?

Honestly, there are pros and cons to each option. Overall, you just have to weigh the pros and cons of each to see which method works for you. If you’re buying inserts, try to buy at least 5! That allows you to get multiple items.
